Hello,
Is there any possibility for me to record directly the processed Guitar Rig Signal in Studio One Prime? I already know that the Prime Version does not Support VST or any 3rd Party plugins. But I don't want to use it as a plugin anyway. I just want to record the final signal that is produced by Guitar Rig. Yesterday I spend the whole evening in trying to make Guitar Rig work with Studio One - without beeing successful! My wished set-up is: Guitar -> TonePort UX2 Interface -> Guitar Rig or Amplitube -> Record the Signal with Studio One Prime Guitar Rig uses the ASIO Driver of my Interface. When I try to open Studio One Prime, I get an error message, because the ASIO Driver of my Interface is already in use. Unfortunatly it seems like I cannot use one ASIO Driver with two programs. Does anyone know how I it is possible to record the outcoming guitar rig Signal with Studio One Prime?? Thank you in advance! edit: Couriously, it works with PODFarm2 as the ASIO Driver is not blocked by the software ... But the sound of Guitar Rig is way better ... Please help! |
You might want to give VB-Audio's Cable or Voicemeeter or Voicemeeter Banana a try. For your simple use, I'd start with VB-Cable.
These apps are virtual audio devices, and can be used to pipe audio from one app to another. After you install it (donationware; no cost; donate if you use it; I gave $5 for VB-Cable and $20 for VB-Voicemeeter Banana), it shows up as a Windows audio device. How you would use it: Guitar -> ASIO TonePort -> Guitar Rig or Amplitube -> VB-Cable -> Studio One Prime In Studio One, go to Options | Audio Devices and change the Audio Device from ASIO (TonePort) to VB-Cable. You can then record the audio in SO. https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm These are most often used by gamers streaming and podcasters. This short video will give you some guidance for setting up VB-Cable. https://youtu.be/0qPoUG5lNGU I don't have either installed at the moment, so I can't check what levels of audio quality (bit depth, sample rate) are available. You may be limited to 44.1 KHz/16-bit (CD quality). Sorry that I can't remember that detail. There are tons of YouTube videos on Voicemeeter and Voicemeeter Banana (great name for the Pro version!; still donationware). |
