Hi everyone,
Just downloaded the S1 Demo, with the hope of switching over from Pro Tools; however, on the very first run, S1 crashed. When I opened it again, it let me know that the plugin Guitar Rig 5 (from Native Instruments) had been blacklisted for causing the crash. S1 opened successfully at this point, but GR5 is a core part of my projects! I tried resetting the blacklist and giving it another chance, but S1 just crashed again. Any advice on how I can get this working? Without it, I can't make the switch. Thanks! I'm Using: S1 Demo v3.5.4.45392 Guitar Rig Pro v5.2.2 Mid-2012 MacBook Pro: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 7200rpm SATA Drive |
Guitar Rig 5 working here. I actually often use three instances per song. Maybe it has something to do with the demo mode?
Peace!

It's caused some trouble for me in newer versions of Pro Tools too: 12.8.0 onwards will freeze on quit whenever GR5 is installed.
The S1 startup issue seems to have been fixed by me manually removing all trace of GR5 from my system and reinstalling it, but that only ever fixed the Pro Tools issue temporarily, so I will have to see if S1 holds up. |
