I'm diving back into the DAW world.

I sold my Akai keyboard controller but I have an old Korg M1 that has MIDI in/out/thru plus audio stereo outputs.

My question is, can I use my old Korg M1 keyboard.as my main keyboard controller to activate soft synths and drums sounds in my DAW?

Though, if possible, my concern would be if there would be significant latency (lag) issues since the signal is having to be converted from MIDI to USB?

Please advise.

thanks,
bob

Just found this post and hopefully you've figured this out by now.

Anyway the short answer is 'yes' (I previously did it with my Roland Fantom).
You will need a "midi in" port on your Audio Interface or an adapter card/port on your PC.

If you still need help, see the post below which has links on how to set up your Keyboard as a midi device in Studio One.
