Studio one 3 (demo) would not give me option to allow me to export a mix track to export into mp3 instead it doesn't show it at all is it shows different files that you can export it as I need help so I can be able to export files into mp3 instead of a wave or other types of music files

If you are using the demo version, that's one of the limitations see this. http://support.presonus.com/entries/681 ... ne-3-Demo-
Also, the Artist version doesn't have Mp3 support.

So as a workaround you can export as a WAV file and then convert that to an mp3; there are plenty of freeware wav --> mp3 converters available.

Both OSX and Windows render mp3 so no third party tools needed just for that.

Granted, assuming that you're referring to using stock software? In the case of Mac, iTunes?

If so, just to clarify for those who may be unaware, using iTunes to convert .wav to .mp3 is IMHO WAY more cumbersome than using, for example, the free utility All2MP3.

iTunes (via support.apple.com):

To convert a song's file format
Open iTunes Preferences.
Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
Click the General button, then click the Importing Settings… button in the lower section of the window.
From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to, then click OK to save the settings.
Select one or more songs in your library, then from the File > Create New Version menu, choose one of the following (the menu item changes to show what's selected in your Importing preferences):

• Create MP3 version
• Create AAC version
• Create AIFF version
• Create WAV version
• Create Apple Lossless version

If you haven't imported some songs into iTunes yet, you can import and convert them at the same time. This will create a converted copy of the file in your iTunes Library based on your iTunes preferences. To convert all the songs in a folder or on a disk, hold down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows) and choose File > Create New Version > Convert [import preference setting]. The Import preference setting will match what you chose in step 3. iTunes will prompt you for the location of the folder or disk you want to import and convert. All the songs in the folder or on the disk will be converted. Note: Older purchased songs are encoded using a Protected AAC format that prevents them from being converted. If you need to convert these to another format, follow the instructions in this article to upgrade them.

The song in its original format and the newly converted song appear in your library.

All2MP3:

Open All2MP3.
Drag .wav file into panel.
(Modify kbps output setting if desired.)
Click Convert button. Done.

Actually in iTunes you just right click the file and choose "Create mp3 Version."

Done.

You can also use Audacity (the free audio editing program), but you have to use an add-on called L.A.M.E. Audacity is easy to install. You can get Audacity here: http://audacityteam.org/

The add-on page for MP3 is here: http://lame.buanzo.org/#lamewindl * SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF PAGE

If you have any problems with the add-on, see this page: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... encoder.3F

Just to clarify: By default Artist doesn't support MP3 import/export until someone purchases the $10 add-in from PreSonus. Then it's simply another export choice in the Mixdown/Stems dialogs.

Presonus uses the licensed version of the encoder, so they pay a royalty for every copy.
If you're using Artist and want it integrated, here's the download:

Also, you can continue to use that add on with each new version of Studio One.
