HI !
I know this is an issue but all I want is to be able to work in S! and hear youtube.

I need this to:
1. Play along youtube music.
2.I am learning guitar now and want to be able to listen to tutorials AND practice what is taught.

Any idea ?

Cheers
NIR

Hi,
You can user SO & a browser but NOT at the same time, because SO will lock the audio interface and release it only when minimized.
I suggest you use a stand alone VST amp to practice, easy to find.

This drove me nuts for the longest time. If you're using Windows, go to your Sound settings > Playback>Properties>Advanced
and UNcheck the box "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device." Fixed! bz

I don't see playback in sound settings. Is that the correct path? I don't see it in Windows 10. Be more specific?

This mostly depends on the audio interface you’re using. An audio interface (driver) which offers loopback channels allows you to route your browser’s audio to Studio One and monitor everything from there.

I would download the video and drop it direct into S1.
There is a button for extracting the audio onto a new track.
Open a channel for guitar and "Off goes the Luzi!"

Save this song as a practice set and add more songs as needed.
This way you can switch between individual songs.

Wanting a DAW to have music playing in the background is absurd.

But SwitchBack said:

Here a view audio interfaces:
