I'm wondering if Studio One can use 24 inputs and outputs at once for mixing on a console or using hardware rack gear as inserts with ASIO. I'm thinking of multiple interfaces or a 24 i/o type interface. Currently, I have Pro Tools 192 interfaces, which only see 16 i/o with ASIO. Thank you!

Yes you can. For comparison sake, the new Studio 192 is a 26 in, 32 out device.

One thing to be aware of, especialy when mixing (brands of) interfaces: S1 does not have a mechanism to handle more than one interface at a time.

So you'll need interfaces that share drivers, reporting to S1 as a single interface (like the PreSonus FireStudio family or FS AI family), or
You'll need to combine the various interfaces into one yourself using the OS (aggregate device on Mac) or something like Asio4All (although not officilly supported) on PC.

There may be other tricks I'm not aware of. Please chime in if there are.
