Ever since the last update of Studio One V3 some behavior for recording automation on audio tracks has changed for me. Normally, when I just turn on 'latch' and move around parameters on a plug-in an automation lane would be created under that very same audio track.

However, since the update this automation lane gets created on a new and separate track. This is the same behavior as when you record automation on an instrument track, though it used to only happen on instrument tracks and not on audio tracks. I can understand it happening on an instrument track, as multiple tracks can be connected to one instrument. For audio this is not the case.

I'm not a 100% sure if the update changed this or if I messed up some settings, but does anyone know how to get it back so that automation lanes for audio are created under the track itself?

I see the same behavior here and I don't recall if it did that in 3.1 or not but I do know 2.x didn't do that.

I agree, that should default to a child lane under the parent track, not a new automation track.

Thanks Lawrence. I don't think it started at the first version of v3 of Studio One, but more like one of the last couple minor updates to v3.

I would really like to know if there's more users who experience the same and even more if there's any way to get that behavior back to an automation lane being created under the audio track instead of a separate track.

Sorry people, I'm still stuck with this problem. I do automation so much on a daily basis, this little issue wastes too much time to ignore. Can anyone help out?

With so many Studio One users I imagine there must be lots of people who recently noticed that if you start moving around plug-in parameters while recording automation on an audio track the automation suddenly doesn't appear in a lane connected to the audio track anymore, but instead creates a seperate track that holds these lanes. (Same as with Instrument Tracks)

Is there any way to fix this, to get it back to how it was before? Any tip would be much, much appreciated.
