This might be a little esoteric, maybe not...

Either way although I love Studio One I still lean a little toward Logic. Interestingly one of the main things that still keeps me in Logic is its built-in match-eq. It can do zero latency, mixed phase and linear phase.

And, the thing has absolutely no CPU hit. On top of that, you can invert the matching, creating total separation between two or more elements.

If you want to get crafty you can learn an existing instrument in a mix, then apply just a little 'inverse matching' to separate the two elements without trying to "match" to a particular spectrum... The thing has a ton of uses outside of just trying to copy the spectrum of something else... Screenshots attached...

What's the point of even using this? Just learn how to EQ, etc:

Now hold on a minute there judgy people of the internet... I work in a little niche called production music. TV and trailers mostly. At the end of the day it's about delivering on a deadline, fast, and sounding dead on consistent every single time.

This is my weapon of choice. In fact it's a pretty popular weapon of choice for people working under incredibly tight deadlines....

Having a native version of a match-eq in Studio One would be pretty sweet.

FYI I'm not seeing a way to post an official feature request in the "answers" section. That's the only reason I posted here. If someone knows how to move this to an actual feature request please let me know...

For a feature request, go to Presonus Answers and then select Ask a Question at upper right.
Then select Feature Request from the Category list.
Sorry, on my cell now.
Post your FR link back here.
Thanks.

I agree with your point, it would be fantastic to have a S1 EQ that does that - and one that looks as slick as that one too. That said, there are lots of 3rd party VSTs that can do these things. The first that comes to mind is Melda's MAutoDynamicEQ.

https://www.meldaproduction.com/MAutoDynamicEq

It's actually 1/2 off at $59 in the Eternal Madness Sale at the moment as well. (It should be 1/2 off again on Black Friday.) There are others too. One big advantage of a 3rd party VST is that once you get used to it, you can use it in any DAW.
