Thanks to KVR user, tommijk for this one!

Hate plugins with annoying prefixes in their names like "TR5 [plugin name]" or "Izotope RX6 [plugin name]" or "UAD [plugin name],"etc.? Sure you can rename them in the insert slots, but the next time you load the plugin, the name goes back to default. Want a trick to permanently change the name without having to hack any settings or rename the plugin .dll's? Try this:

1. Load the plugin to an insert slot
2. Right-click the plugin on the insert slot list and select "Rename"
3. Change the name to whatever you want
4. Keep the default plugin settings, or find some settings that make sense for a default

and now the trick...

4. Store the preset as Default

Result: Next time you load the plugin, not only are the plugin settings remembered, but the name will be remembered on insert slots.

AMD Ryzen 3950X, ASUS Creator x570 Mobo, 32GB HyperX Predator RAM (3600mhz), Radeon™ RX 5500 XT 4GB GDDR6 graphics card, RME Fireface 800, Windows 10 Pro, Studio One 5, Reaper 6, Cubase 10.5, Avid Artist Mix (EuCon please), Behringer X-Touch One, MIDI Fighter Twister, various other MIDI control surfaces and hardware instruments
