It is not a bug thus there's nothing to fix
Please read my post which explains exactly what it's for and what to do next.

I knew nothing of this 666 issue until the other day when "Martin626" posted. ...and I got it yesterday trying to add the Voxengo Tempo Delay as an insert. I had to quickly turn down my monitors as a very loud tone started being emitted when things went haywire. Then Studio One froze when I tried to remove the plugin and I had to kill it in the task manager. I've tried uninstalling, tried both the VS2 and VS3 64b versions, but the same thing happens each time. Just an FYI for whomever cares.

Oh well, one less plugin I need to try out. :)

Looked everywhere for a solution only to find nothing... again.

I can see that by this logic that iZotope plugins can be a problem for me but they never were until last night, so that's all the more frustration in and of itself because there is not a single plugin that I have that may have caused this because all of the plugins I have were always working fine until last night and today, even when, and especially when, the song files I was working on last night and today were far less CPU-intensive than the ones that I normally work on. In my case it wasn't even a loud tone I'm hearing. It's just dead silence and a blown master fader that I don't know how it's blown up.

The problem I'm having right now is the fact that it's one thing to see the 666 problem happen only once and the DAW work just fine after, but consistently?

The insult to injury was that the second song file I was working on was actually an attempted fix on the first where I've rendered down everything into audio files with effects baked in, and it was causing its own problems prior to the 666. Any new audio files or instruments that I add will just not play (I can see the readings but the files are not coming out on the speakers or the headphones). Any new instruments that is not routed to a bus will just not play (same as the previous). Anything routed to a bus that was not created prior to when the problem occurred will just not play (some as the one previous).

Already filed a ticket, but these guys are way too slow.

I should also mentioned that I've always had all of my plugins prior to StudioOne 3.5, and everything was fine until 3.5 happened.

Someone did say something about unlocking internal block sizes but since it's 3.5 I'm unable to do that anymore.

What interface are you using? Don't see it in your specs
It sounds like you have another problem.

Hi jpettit

I just updated my specs to reveal that I have switched from M-Audio FastTrack MkII to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Gen II not very long ago (it was last September or so).

Hi Skip

I just sent you the contents of the confirmation letter. I knew it was just a moment before that last post so I knew I would have to wait quite a while, but there's this 14+ track LP that I have to finish before December and I'm falling behind.

EDIT: I also updated the specs to make sure everyone knows that I recently upgraded.

Ironically the Focusrite interfaces have had the hardest time with 3.5. Some of the issue can be resolved with a reinstall on the interface. Others issue Focusrite is aware of.

I already tried reinstalling but it seems I may have to get a new interface again...

I got contacted by Lawrence, who did a remote connection session today. He disabled the rhythm guitars and the 666 was no longer a problem, but that was ASIO4ALL, so unless Focusrite comes up with a fix it seems I may have to switch to a new interface. There was another problem we encountered and I sent him the song folder in question as he asked.

Yes, I have seen that. Multiple plugins crapped out. One of them being J37 from Waves and the other one d16 Sigmund delay. I can run like one or two instances on inserts, but enabling more than three triggers this. I have tried changing firewire latency, number of samples and sample rate. I have tried reloading the plugins, rebooting whole machine and doing the stuff you have linked to. Is there some kind of log file, that I can look into?

jpettit wroteThe post before yours was July 2017!

Yeah, sorry for the necro, but this is still a problem. Running a project, with constant fear of my DAW crapping out on me is not good. And from what I saw, this happens even with internal presonus plugins.

I'll give it a shot, though I don't understand how will that help me since guys here said it's some kind of memory issue.
