Just wanted you guys to know the Release Notes (download) is broken for reading about v6.6.1

I get this when I go in thru MyPresonus (in the left panel I click on Download Release Notes):

2024-05-08_13-26-37.png

And within Studio One 6.6.0 - click Check for Updates and then when the "new version" available dialog pops up - I get this:

And once again this issue (in fact two issues) hasn't been fixed according to release notes.

viewtopic.php?f=151&t=51589

Selecting the wrong arm record button with a controller is a serious issue. I'm sorry to keep banging on about this like an old record but it's been a year now.

I guess when I get the time I'll have to do some YouTube videos and post links everywhere I can in order to get this taken seriously, support were helpful in engaging, but after that nobody seems to give a flying F about fixing it in the triages.

What is going on Presonus?

Thanks for all the other fixes but why exactly this isn't being fixed beggars belief, the impact is hardly minor when using controllers (including Presonus's own products). I can only think Presonus regards people who use their controllers (and third party) as second class citizens, or maybe it's just me. Please stop brushing this under the carpet.

Rant over and sorry for stirn words, I mean no actual offence, I understand there are priorities but for the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster please fix this issue, do I need to get on my hands and knees and beg? (Hang on sounds like I am).

Has no one in the dev team looked at the VST3 automation nodes that show garbage and refuse to accept values from the keyboard?

Any educated guesses whether this is the end of the v6 line or whether the powers that be may give us another release before v7? Also, does this release include the integration for new quantum interfaces?

My guess - at least one or two more maintenance releases before v7.

V1 Sept 27, 2009 - October 31, 2011 = 765 Days

V2 Oct 31, 2011 - May 20, 2015 = 1298 Days

V3 May 20, 2015 - May 22, 2018 = 1099 Days

V4 May 22, 2018 - July 7, 2020 = 778 Days

V5 July 7, 2020 - Sept 29, 2022 = 815 Days

V6 Sept 29, 2022 - Today = 589 Days

Per above - as of today - v6 has had the shortest release cycle of any version of S1.

Highly unlikely that v7 is around the corner just yet.

Good, cause I intend to be on the last v6 release for a while. If my next serious recordings aren't up to my standards, it won't be because of lack of new features.

Good list. I don't expect any version to drag on too long. This has been my contention that Presonus will stay loyal to perp users because for just a little less money they receive anually, they can drag us perp suckers along as well. I say suckers in a good way! Hope I didnt open any subscriotion vs perpetual, vs yaddah doors. Just saying I'm quite happy with the current state of affairs. I climbed onto v6.5 rather late to let the crumbs settle. I'm not a fan of Atmos, but the move to incorporate it in Studio One is logical (competing DAW's are adopting it). It's seamless, and perhaps has a few subtle bonuses. Oh yeah, v 6.5 update was FREE! So as I see it, the journey using this DAW has been rewarding, and reasonably positioned.
To Presonus employee's: Now get back to work!

@ Users: "Next version, when? ...... Don't worry ah bodd-it!" (NYC accent). 8-)

The nulling issue appears to be validated, it may not be the biggest issue but it is a problem that needs fixing.

viewtopic.php?f=151&t=53995

I hope people will post any outstanding validated bugs here, however old or new they are, preferably with links to keep this thread clean.

Please, we need good dev resources put into 6.6.2 and we need all these issues to be fixed. Studio One is a Presonus flagship product, in the past Presonus had a very good reputation of fixing things above all else, but from my perception that's sliding. It's not too late to get back on track. I will try to remain positive in the meantime but it's getting increasingly difficult. Now that their new audio interfaces are out the way, and people who buy their interfaces are very likely to be looking at studio one (or are existing users) maybe they will increase focus. It's in their interests as well as ours.

Can you elaborate a bit to narrow down what you are actually doing? I just tried it on my Mac, and it seems to work ok here.

It could be a Win vs. Mac thing, but I want to try it first the same way as you are doing it.
