In an instrument UI like Pigments 5, or other synths, I cannot get typing from ascii keyboard to work. I am assuming I have missed something very basic, as this is a needed and expected behavior.
Example, I will bring up Pigments, go to patch browser, click in search box & get blinking text cursor. prompt. No keystrokes go to this entry box. Instead they are always captured as keyboard shortcuts in Studio One. Some plugins permit typing, such as values in parameter control boxes (dbl-clk a knob and type) In Kilohearts plugins the search box shows a keyboard icon you can click that looks like it would enable typing input, but it does not work, keystrokes still go to Studio One UI. What am I missing? Thanks, Kevin

Just throwing this out there. On your QWERTY keyboard, is your [Num Lock] key on?

If I click away from the Pigments GUI while it is on the same screen, the page will remain open but I am unable to type in the search box. I suspect you are losing focus from the plugin (mouse movement?) to see what you are seeing. Otherwise it works for me as expected. (Or as Lokeyfly suggests, maybe a Num Lock issue if you're using the numeric keypad.) |

Good call AAV. I suspect the OP is actually losing focus somehow. I always think someone is a just a click away from retaining focus but one can't be too sure. That's why I figured a screen capture could help. Let's see....

Tested here for a least 10 minutes in a host of different plugins - could not get S1 to not allow me to type into whatever I was aiming for. BUT only when I have clicked on it first. Most definitely a focus issue of some kind here. VP
