In order to get the most stability and lowest latency settings, your system needs to be dedicated to Studio One processes.
Overview: 1. Set your computer for High Performance. 2. Close Browsers and their sub-processes (this is included in #3) 3. Stop unnecessary services that may drain resources or cause interruptions High Performance Open a Windows CMD window use powercfg /l to get a list of the schemes Copy the GUID of the normal scheme and that of the high performance scheme (if you don't have a high-performance scheme, look up on how to create one) Create a CMD file in Notepad and paste this in: powercfg /l pause powercfg /s 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e powercfg /l pause (replace my High Performance GUID, the number that starts with 381, with your GUID) Now, make another CMD file and use the "normal performance" GUID. Name them appropriately. Before your session, run the "set high performance" and after you are done, run "set normal performance". -- the following is what I have in my "prep for low latency recording.cmd" file -- I came up with this list by looking at the services that were Running when I review the list in services.msg (Start/Run services.msc) -- be sure to run it as administrator < start of CMD file > taskkill /IM "Chrome.exe" /F taskkill /IM "msedge.exe" /F Services Net STOP "GameSDK Service" Net STOP "AGSService" Net STOP "AGMService" Net STOP "AdobeUpdateService" Net STOP "AvidTransportClient" Net STOP "AvidHubService" Net Stop "Antares Central Services" Net Stop "DigiRefresh" Net Stop "InstallService" Net Stop "AvidHubService" Net Stop "AvidTransportClient" Net Stop "BTAGService" Net Stop "BluetoothUserService_1dc87a" Net Stop "bthserv" REM stop DropBox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive apps/services taskkill /IM "NoiseCancelingEngine.exe" /F taskkill /IM "ArmouryWebBrowserEdge.exe" /F taskkill /IM "DSATray.exe" /F taskkill /IM "AdobeIPCBroker.exe" /F taskkill /IM "AISuite3.exe" /F taskkill /IM "CCleaner64.exe" /F taskkill /IM "CCXProcess.exe" /F taskkill /IM "EzUpdt.exe" /F taskkill /IM "OneDrive.exe" /F REM Magix Update Notifier taskkill /IM "QMxNetworkSync.exe" /F pause < end of CMD file > |
