I just want to make sure I’m being efficient with the way I’m configuring my plugin midi mapping. In most cases, I’m not able to use the plugin’s native MIDI mapping functionality. Instead, I have to expose the parameters I’m interested in controlling in the channel strip’s sends area, using “configure mini options” or something like that; move the knob/slider I want, and then right-click on the parameter and choose “ map <param> to <control id>”.

This works, but the UX is not great. Among other things, those parameter areas are *tiny* which leads to a lot of hunched-over moments, squinting at the screen. I wish this UI/UX was expanded significantly, as it’s where I spend most of my time during live recording sessions.

Another way to say what I’m asking is, I’d like to use the plugins’ native MIDI mapping UI/UX, instead of the channel strips’ area. Is that possible; what is the “best practice” for this?
