I'm chatting with support, but no solution yet. Wanted to see if anyone else experiencers this:

Create instrument track by adding MIDI generating VST, such as Scaler, Blue Arp, etc.
Create instrument track to receive the MIDI, e.g. any soft synth.
Route MIDI to target synth.
Now, for me, clicking on the instrument icon in the MIDI track opens the **target** soft synth tab in the instruments window, instead of the selected MIDI instrument.. One must then click the tab of the MIDI instrument to open it. OK, one extra click, but gets to be a drag.
Furthermore, if the MIDI is being routed to an external device (hardware synth), then clicking on the instrument icon in the MIDI track opens the External Device window. Then one must go to console view to access the MIDI vst tab in the instruments window. Not helpful.
I swear this didn't use to happen. Not sure when it changed but has been through a couple updates at least.
I tried refreshing settings per support. No cookie.
If anyone else can repeat this, please advise.
