Sorry for the maybe stupid question:
But is it possible to change the Timebase for the arrangement grid without using the mouse? Really looking for a shortcut, but couldn’t find it. Maybe there’s a workaround. Generally I want everything in bars, but sometimes when moving stuff I like it in samples. Would love somehow to do this, directly from the keyboard. Thanks in advance. |
There's indeed no command to change the Timebase currently, so you can only change it by going into the menu. It's a good feature request.
In case that helps you as a workaround, in the Navigation Essentials and Scoring Tools add-ons for Studio One, there are commands that can move events in Seconds/Beats/Bars/Frames/Samples. There are also cursor movement commands for Seconds/Beats/Frames/Grid (current grid). https://studioonescripts.com

Kuno Nagel wroteSorry for the maybe stupid question: Yes & No. I don't see any KB shortcuts for that, but you have other options to get the same functionality. You can have a secondary timeline via the "Ruler" and have it set to Samples while the Timeline is set to Bars. You can leave that Ruler showing. (or show/hide it via a KB Shortcut) Set a shortcut for showing/hiding the Ruler: KB Shortcuts > "Open Secondary Ruler" (assign to a shortcut) Plus you can have two Time Displays in the bottom Transport area. Set one to Bars, the other to Samples. Not exactly what you're asking, I suspect it will get you what you want.
