I am dipping my toes back into the Mac desktop world after a year, and I'm re-learning Studio One 2 Pro and Band in a Box 2011.
Nothing beats Band in a Box for quickly entering chords and getting backing tracks to jam on quickly. But you only get so many RealTracks. So I'm trying out the following: - Layout the chord progression in BIAB - Export it all as MIDI - Bring into Studio One - Assign virtual instruments from Studio One to each track - Humanize it Has anyone else done this? If so... any tips? Thanks, - Joe |
I can't remember which year's version of BIAB introduced it, but you should be able to have both programs open and simply drag each instrument part into S1.

I used to do this a lot but I was using cubase.
You need to strip the program changes out of the midi tracks. Not sure if you can do that with S1. See if when you export the tracks if they have a check box for program changes and uncheck it.

Think you can remove program changes from within the midi editor at the bottom in S1.
