Hi all: I just purchased an update from S1-5 Pro to S1-6 Pro through Bestservice.com and was provided with a serial number for version 6. The instructions say to...

1) Log in to the Presonus website and select "Products"
2) Select the version I already own (S1-5 Pro)
3) Click on Upgrade
4) Enter the S1-6 Pro serial number

When I enter the new serial number in the little window nothing seems to happen, and the window just kind or jumps and resets showing the number that I entered.

So I downloaded S1-6 Pro and it comes up in DEMO mode. I can't get it to activate to Pro mode. Am I doing something incorrectly?

I need to resolve this ASAP since I will be teaching a course on Studio One starting in a couple of days and my students will likely be lost without my help

I upgraded to 6 back in Sept 2022 but went through the same steps and it worked fine.

Firstly - in your instructions above - are you logging on the "Presonus" website OR your MyPresonus area? Assuming the latter but want to make sure.

Secondly - if your serial entry is not working - there may be (super rare but possible) something wrong with that serial. OR - your browser. What browser are you using?

Finally - until you actually sort these first two steps out and get that serial properly bonded to your MyPresonus account - no amount of downloading will take the installer to Pro from Demo.

And you should be getting prompted to login to your Presonus acct - when running v6 setup - like so:

Considering the time pressure, did you contact tech support as well?

If this is a wrong behavior (I can't tell because I never went through this process), then probably only PreSonus support can help.

I did have to log in on that page shown with my email and password and it didn't work. I also did contact Presonus support but no response yet.

Hmm...if you cannot login through that dialog pictured above - that would logically tell me you either do not have a MyPresonus acct or the credentials are typing in are incorrect.

To ensure your credential are working - you first need to get into your MyPresonus acct first (on the web) to get anything going. If you can login here:

https://my.presonus.com/products/all

You should see all your previously purchased stuff - AND add that new v6 serial.

Then use those same credentials to login to your MyPresonus acct during setup.

Actually, I can login but even though I am logged in when I paste the serial number that I received from BestService.com it doesn't seem to work. I'm still waiting for a response from Presonus Support.

So you went to your My.PreSonus account, proceeded to Products/Recording Software, found your older version of S1 with the green 'Upgrade' button and went through the motions of entering the product code you purchased, right?

Then when you now log in on your My.PreSonus account and proceed to Products/Recording Software you should see Studio One Pro V6 listed. If not then the registration didn't take.

OK, so I contacted Presonus support and they told me that the serial number that BestService gave me for the update from S1-5 Pro to S2-6 Pro was not correct. That incorrect serial number is for someone moving from the Artist version to the Pro version. I have now contacted BestService support and am waiting for an answer from them with the correct serial number.

Finally solved: I contacted BestService about the information that Presonus said about the incorrect serial number. BestService said that Presonus sent them a bunch of incorrect serial numbers so it looks like I wasn't the only one with the problem. I now have a correct serial number and everything is OK now.
