Hi, it seems that the dynamic EQ mode doesn't work properly: I loaded my track preset end I noticed that the EQ doesn't respect the threshold value until I move the knob.
I attached a short video: LMF Frequency threshold is set to -10.8 dB but it goes far beyond that (see the indicator at the bottom of the screen and the EQ curve) I played the sound for 14 seconds, then turned the knob to -9.9 dB and back to 10.8 dB - the dynamic response has changed despite the same threshold value (you can see it on my video). https://youtu.be/UVeggZqjpbQ

I am also having issues with the dynamic EQ threshold!
I'll set the threshold where I want it. Then after adjusting other tracks or reloading the project file, the threshold is effectively set back to 0. Although the number shows the level that I had originally set it at. So then when I touch the frequency or threshold knobs, it applies the setting again that I originally had. I've had this happen on several different projects this week. I'm loving Pro EQ when it works properly. But I don't think I can use it anymore if I can't trust it to maintain the setting that I apply. |
Yes, this is the problem, you load your song and it sounds different because of that, and you may not notice that until it's to late (i.e. you already sent your mixdown to mastering engineer).
I watched Gregor and Joe on Youtube - it seems they use Dynamic EQ a lot. I'm curious hew they deal with this issue. |
erichaarbauer wroteThis is reportedly fixed in 6.1.2. Yes, thank you!
