At some point I probably clicked or pressed some keys and now my timeline is messed up with the first 33 bars being of normal size and each one past that being double size. How do I fix this?

Change "Timing" in the Transport Bar on the bottom of the screen (probably back to 4/4)

My guess is tempo changes. Open the Tempo Track and see if there are unwanted tempo points. Select and delete them.
