I am new user here )only 3 months) and I would like to share few things which I did not like and suggest to fix OR change. Since this hasn't really much to do with the S1 program I decided to posted here instead into the S1 Feature requests.

PLEASE FIX BUGS (or have your web developers fix them).

1) Talkin aout Feature request page - this is the first place to get frustrated. I click on the Link in the Forum and when I try do to on this "request page" your system asks me to Login (while I am already loggted in) ! Seems like a BUG !

2) When I go to main Presonus website and I login to P-Sphere I want to see a FORUM link, but it is no where to find ! Why ? Why I have to use Google Search for such a simple thing ? Yes it is no so hard to locate it through the search but ... it should be there

3) When I login to the Forum I am redirected to the Presonus Sphere page ? this is really super frustrating !

4) Why the initial page ofr the Forum has to take 80% of my screen ? I do not like it. Can you also please add MY POSTS link to the main Page so I do not have to click so many times every time to get to my profile in order to search for my own posts and replies... (well, perhaps there is another way I do not know).

Here are few more minor issues....and suggestions
Since this Forum use phpBB there are tons of extensions which can be used and utilized (including themes and colors). There is also many ways to integrate your Forum with your CMS website, why this has to be separate page ?

The forum admins aren't the Studio One / Sphere dev team. Some of them aren't easy to address given the infrastructure of the different areas, but these are all valid suggestions.

Here is one more addition to my initial post:

THE WELCOME VIDEO ! On your initial Forum page. Why I have to see this every time I login. I would rather see most recent replies to my messages instead. This video is junk! ONLY 9 VIEWS !
Can't you people see that nobody is watching this ? Why waste the space and not to place there something that has some value (see my suggestions).

TO REPLY TO ONE OF THE USERS:
phpBB is stand-alone webForumApp. It can integrate with CMS systems and managing it is really not a hard technical task. My suggestions have really not much to do with Presonus website. These are simply settings and links which can be easily changed and managed.

PLEASE FIX THOSE ISSUES:

1) I am getting very frustrated every time I have to go through this wired procedure to Login to the forum. When I login it redirects me to the Presonus Home page. I have to open another Tab in the browser, then retype: http://formus.presonus.com to go back to the Forum. Completely insane!
There are plugins for phpBB (which you use)_ to embed Forum inside the website. It is quite easy to do.

2) Please remove non-sense video link from the top of the page. It is useless and just takes space.

This is not forum related but perhaps one could communicate with the site admin. The SUPPORT form is so bad I am not sure if I should laugh or cry. Just pathetic. 12-years old would do a better job. Please fix it.

Arthur,

This is your second attempt to push for these changes here, and for several reasons my guess is that it will be as successful as the first.

To keep this constructive let me give you only this one:

This forum is not run by PreSonus but by users of PreSonus products. To allow the forum admins to lock out misbehaving users (as explained in the video) from the forum but not from their MyPresonus account (which would probably violate consumer rights) there's a second login layer. So if you're in the habit of logging out from the forum and from your MyPresonus account then you'll always have to login in two steps too. It's a necessary evil I guess, and not likely to go away any time soon.

My guess is, he has his browser set up to delete cookies when he closes the browser, thus "logging him out" from any and all websites.

It's the nature of the beast, unfortunately. While I get the OP complaint, I also completely understand the actual reason as per the video why it is the way it is. I ran the website of a New York Times Best Selling author for 8 years, and we had a very similar issue and had to have a dual login layer for the very same reasons. Consumer rights and all.

First of all, I do not have this issue at all. 2nd, I use bookmarks and do not have to type. 3rd, if you mistype ("formus"), it really doesn't help... ;)

2) Please remove non-sense video link from the top of the page. It is useless and just takes space.
Again, use bookmarks. I actually had to look up what you are talking about. Then I recalled that is what it looked like. Even then, not a drama.

Matter of taste, it is very easy and straightforward.

Although I am all for improving things, IMO you are overdramatizing here.

Not true. If I log into the forums with multiple devices it keeps promoting for password every day or few days. It's a PITA to be honest. This is on Google Chrome on windows and android.

Also if I click on a notification link via email, I am taken to a page where I'm often asked to log on (although why would I need to log on if I'm just reading?). Once I log on I am then redirected to the home page of the forums, then I have to click on the link again and then I'm taken to the appropriate thread (as I'm now authenticated). I don't experience these issues in any other internet forums.

The forum software is ancient, needs a redesign and needs updating. It's like 1998 here!

Yes - true here also. And yes, the issue is aggravated by logging in to the forum on multiple devices. I use a phone, a tablet, a Firestick on my TV, and occasionally 2 computers (yes, including my DAW  ).
I don't think it's as big a deal as the OP makes it out to be, but it can be more tiresome, when for example I am logged in and reading the forum, and want to support a feature request mentioned in a post. The roundabout loss of credentials, logins, and navigations to get there inevitably cause me to say "ah - I'll do it later"..... ;) One would think the various sites associated with my Presonus account would be satisfied with a single login - but nope - same routine for each site, and for each separate device. Again, doesn't stop me from coming here - but yes, have to agree. ;)

I guess it doesn't bother me since I use Dashlane Password Manager. It just auto populates my user / password.

Maybe I have to look for something similar here too. Good suggestion. Again, it is one of those " well now that you mention it" things. If choice A is invest resources into Studio One, and B is fix the website, it's not even close - fix the website.

My username and password is also auto populated. Does not change the issue.

Regardless this website is the customer front end, and it's not a good look..Makes me think studio one runs on UNIX.

This annoys me more when I click an answers link posted here in the forum to vote on an FR. I'm taken to a login dialog for answers, after which I'm nowhere near the FR.

Frankly, as forums go I really like this one. Who knows, maybe the extra effort required to get in keeps the trolls out. Think about that ;)
