Whatever this thing is called along the top of S1 that has the numbers of the bars/measures on it with zero on the left and the number of measures going off to the right - I had it set normally, accidentally clicked on something and now it shows measures 0 to 400 billion. The song is only about 200 measures long, yet the scale now goes from zero to infinity. That is, eight measures into the song, and the scale shows already two million. Seriously. What button did I press I should not have?
Thanks. |
When you get the song setup dialog, adjust the song end property that I have highlighted.
It is the amount of bars the song has, adjust that and you change the length. You may have changed the timebase so you're seeing seconds instead of bars maybe. Right click the ruler to get that dialog.

Check your time signature settings as that can throw the bars/measures off considerably. Set it to 4/4, and see if that helps. reggie1979beatz wroteCheck out the macros for that. One I always go to under "global" is either loop or overview. And most of them you can map to key commands ??? Trying to respectfully understand that.

You probably have changed the Timebase to Samples instead of Bars. Change it back to Bars.

Yes, that was it. Right click on the "ruler" and then Time base > Bars.
Got it. Thanks everyone. |
That looked like the cure. Good one Jazzundso. Only when the OP mentioned measures were at 400 billion (lol), I figured he was in fact reading measures.
Likely best to keep your songs under 400 billion measures! 🤪 The hidden right click culprit strikes again. Such a tricky path to go down.

Lokeyfly wroteLikely best to keep your songs under 400 billion measures! Indeed. My favorite songs all have less than 400 billion measures.

Yeah, there was some initial concern the song might end up a tad long-winded, lol. Although I guess I could have upped the tempo in which case.
