Hi,
I use a Casio Privia PX-860 as midi controller. When I input my notes by playing it while recording a tab with "CC 88" information appears on my piano roll. I know what CC 88, but I don't need it, it does not have any effect in the VSTs I'm using. So, I delete it every time they appear, when I record, because it appears as soon as I record again. I was thinking if it could be a way to filter these events. We have this nice Input Filter, but it is for notes only. I notices there are option to filter things in the setup of my instrument, but nothing so specific that I could filter out certain CC codes. May be with a 3rd party tool? any idea ? Thanks in advance, Cesar |
There's an input filter that's part of notefX:

Input Filter can't filter out CC events.
The only way is to go into the External Devices in the Options, select your MIDI device (the Privia) and set "Controllers" to be filtered. The limitation is that you can only filter out all CCs, not specific CC numbers.

Guess I was thinking about notes still.
This place can do anything but takes some time: https://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi This is really great but costs: https://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator If you need standalone then you need one of these: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/search ... +processor All can do many things but filtering out a single cc event, no problem.
