<<[Pro EQ³] Transform to rendered audio fails when linear phase low cut (LLC) is engaged>>

Thanks for fixing this, the LLC is so convenient when doing narration and voiceovers with ribbon mics. Now I can use v6 full-time. I'll also add that I'm still discovering improvements in v6, you really tightened up a lot of workflow issues. Good job.

Tons of bugs on v6 for windows. Freezing screens crashes during plugin scans with plugins I have been using for years. The plugin header is blank with no controls half the time. Instruments not loading. Hope they fix all this.

Sorry that's nonsense. What you are describing is not "bugs". I am having no issues whatsoever here. (And obviously that doesn't mean it's perfect, just as your experience doesn't mean it is bug ridden. Most users are reporting positive feedback on 6). You should be more specific about which plugs, their versions, etc. I am also on windows 10/64, latest update.

If one of your Plug-Ins is Kontakt 7, which crashes CONSTANTLY on me, it's not Studio One 6's fault. Kontakt 7 has some MAJOR issue with people complaining about it on every DAW's forums. It even crashes in it's own Stand Alone mode.

If it's not Kontakt 7, I still wouldn't blame Studio One before researching other issues online with that same plugin. Could be a Windows patch that happened. Could be an update needed for the plugin. Could be any number of other issues / conflicts with something on the computer.

Other than Kontakt 7, I have NO issues with anything in SO6. Just waiting for NI to fix their buggy plug in.

So, rather than ranting with little to no info, tell us what plug-ins you are having trouble with? Maybe we can help.

No problems here. If it happens with lots of plug-ins, consider uninstalling, redownloading, and reinstalling Studio One. If it happens with one or two plug-ins, that's likely a plug-in related issue. Perhaps Studio One is seeing 32-bit versions of 64-bit plug-ins?

Oh, and I've seen the Plug in Header with no controls issue...NOT a Studio One issue...Update your video driver.

Yeah, amazing that there are only 10 replies to this thread in a month, most of which aren't even complaints -- that's an impressive absence of laments! Credit where it's due.

But I thought S1 6.02 was "chock full of bugs" ????????

Bottom line, this is the best host I've ever used. I'm not a power user, but there isn't a day that goes by w/o me using it. Tossing forum aside........

When this update fixed the linear-phase rendering issue, I switched over full-time to Studio One 6 from v5, and haven't had any problems since. And I drive it pretty hard.

Since I've never seen such a trouble-free major DAW software release in all my years of doing this (don't ask) I'm going to applaud the developers with my wallet despite vowing not to until Presonus discounted the Pro upgrade. Of course the new conditions of European companies discounting the software, a very favorable exchange rate, and no state tax (10% here in California) or import duties basically works out to 33% off list, so I'll take some solace in that.

As a guy who sticks with one version way longer than most people, I've hesitated to really customize V5 knowing I'd be moving to V6 at some point. Well, some point is now!

If that is the case hopefully that will help them concentrate on a 6.0.3 that fixes legacy bugs before they move onto a 6.1.0, then I guess I will show them my wallet when 6.1.0 does come out which will bring new functionality and inevitably bugs (and then I will install the previous release).

S1v6 has been flawless for me. I haven't really applied the track presets yet, and I certainly will be. It's just that it's so invariably easy to set up tracks, plugins, and instruments on the fly, and always has been with S1. Plus my worklfow simply favors building quite literally from scratch. I'm using the Pro EQ a lot, with its dynamic processing and dynamic sideband capability. While I'm still looking for Studio One to anti-up on some rudimentary features (dynamic instrument/Midi velocity metering on the tracks section, as well as loop reverse), I'll remain humble and say version 6 is nicely done, and seamless as usual. In this case, no news is probably good news. 👍

Don't want to praise or defend the powers that be too much -- hey I just voted with my wallet and V6 is already running as we speak -- but there's generally a reason legacy bugs haven't been fixed, as in if it was easy or even just semi-difficult they would have already been squashed. The last thing developers want to do is fix one problem and create another.

I'm sorry that your particular ones are lingering, but the fact remains I've never seen so few people having so few problems with a release from a major DAW company, or anything even close to it for that matter. I do understand your reluctance to upgrade, however, having held out upgrading myself during my decade of ownership over other things that have irked me.

That said, I'd imagine V5 is still a perfectly good playpen for your sonic excursions and will be for some time.

Same for me. I have had absolutely NO issues with v6 at all. And it also works super smooth in Windows 11 as long as you set AV exclusions to your Instrument Drives (if you are a VSTi person), as well as the Studio One program directory as well as the Studio One Projects directory. You also need to go to Security / Device Security / Core Isolation / Memory Integrity and shut that off. It's a new "feature" that even Microsoft recommends turning off in many cases because it blocks a lot of drivers from installing and sometimes causes pops and crackles in audio. That is the ONLY security feature I had to shut off. I didn't even have to set my processor to "Background processes." Everything is working like a champ.
