Good Evening,

First time post... Please let me know if I'm not posting correctly, breaking any rules or not providing enough information.

I'm hoping some experts can assist or point me in the right direction.

Here's my setup
Track 1
* Contains Korg M1 (Legacy VST -- multi-timbral)
* Can contain 8 layers listening on up to 8 different MIDI channels
* Layer 1 set to a piano patch listening on MIDI channel 1
* Layer 2 set to bass synth patch listening on MIDI channel 2
* Layer 3 set to drum patch listening on MIDI channel 3
* Layer 5 set to pad patch listening on MIDI channel 5
Track 2
* Contains Sylenth1
Track 3
* Contains first instance of Stochas sequencer we'll label as Stochas-1
* Stochas can have four sequencer tracks
* Each track can be any of 16 MIDI channels
* Within the plugin track 1 set to MIDI channel 1
* Within the plugin track 2 set to MIDI channel 2
* Within the plugin track 3 set to MIDI channel 3
* Within the plugin track 4 set to MIDI channel 4
Track 4
* Contains second instance of Stochas sequencer we'll label as Stochas-2
* Stochas can have four sequencer tracks
* Each track can be any of 16 MIDI channels
* Within the plugin track 4 set to MIDI channel 5

Here's what I'm trying to do:
* Send Stochas-1 MIDI channel 1 to M1 layer 1
* Send Stochas-1 MIDI channel 2 to M1 layer 2
* Send Stochas-1 MIDI channel 3 to M1 layer 3
* Send Stochas-1 MIDI channel 4 to Sylenth1
* Send Stochas-2 MIDI channel 5 to M1 layer 5

I know how to send four seperate instrument tracks' MIDI out to M1 -- each track with single MIDI channel (and some other configs). But I can't seem to figure out the configruation above. In hardware I'd just use MIDI splitters/mergers to accomplish this with hardware seqencers. Just not sure how to do it in Studio 1.

Everything I end up trying results in all M1 layers playing all notes from all sequencer tracks.

Am I clear in what I'm asking? Does Studio 1 have flexible MIDI routing and I'm just missing something?

Respectfully,
Tim

Good Evening,

So... I guess I hadn't tried as many things as I had thought as I figured it out after fresh eyes today.

For anyone who's curious or may have similar questions:
* Create an individual empty track for each of the Stochas sequencer tracks I want to send to the M1 or Sylenth1.
* Set each empty track to:
-- * Instument output --> M1 (or Sylenth1)
-- * Instument Channel (output) --> Event 1 (or 2 or 3 or whatever MIDI channel)
-- * Instument Input --> Stochas-1 (or 2 or Stepic)
-- * Instument Channel (input) --> MIDI Channel 1 (or 2 or 3 or whatever MIDI channel)
-- * Of course, ARM the track

Not sure how I missed the obvious. I had been fighting with this for a couple days.

Anyway, thanks to those who read and were thinking of answers. Of course, I'd be interested to hear if there is a more direct route.

Respectfully,
Tim

I used to have a complex setup, I found that using Visio or Open Office Draw is the only way to get things straight in my head.
I can't find the big ones with the whole studio but found this about the GP-10 and its routing as example.
