I'd imagine adding more icons to be a fairly simple task, so I'm kind of trusting to get more icons in the future.

Still valid in the context of other things that could have been added/improved in the time spent on adding the icons option. Looks over substance.

A matter of opinion.
Icons are far easier/quicker to read, for mixing that's important, and as stated you can turn them on or off if you disagree.

Discussions on how best to use developer time can be made till the cows come home on any feature they supply, or bug they fix.

Uploading custom icons would indeed be nice, though I'd expect it would look ugly when uploading low-res images (which would look bad on Presonus)

I had to laugh at the icon usefulness or lack of (I dont use them, but that aside). The way Studio One is going, Icon choice will increase in version 7, and custom User Icons will be in version 8! Maybe even in color.

I don't use them myself, but IMO users should be able to create their own. In addition, a place for sharing them should be available on Exchange. This would let PSL step out of the icon creation/curation role completely.

I was doing that 10 years ago in Logic.

Icons are awesome because you can quickly identify the track in the mixer.
Allowing for user created icons would be the thing to make me upgrade.

I second that as well. Ability to add own icons woudl be the simples add-on. Should not be very complex to implement.

Yeah, the icons are really useful when navigating, and it would be nice to have more. Or better yet be able to add your own.

But of all the fixes that S1 needs, this is a pretty low priority.
