None of my preferences from SO5 were brought in. Also, every time I start the program it does a complete (30 minute) rescan of all of my plugins. Upon completion when I create a new song there are no presets in any of the Presonus instruments. I have no idea what the difference is between the installation on each machine.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Are the OS versions of the machine identical? That is the first thing to check-

Yes both are on OS Monterey

Strange how so many of you are seeing the upgrade price being more for 5 to 6 than it was from 4 to 5. For me, it was exactly the same. $149.95 US.

Same exact price it was last time. Are you all sure you are remembering correctly?

Yes, this has been improved. You can now drag even large MIDI files directly into the song :)

Really ? That's awesome news and will probably get me to upgrade

I dunno, if one of these (beeeeeps) sees this, then they know at least one person doesn't appreciate the "stupid picture of some random dude" pointing at Studio One 6 and showing their clickbait ;)

breanbeech wrote£129 for the upgrade to V6 might seem a lot but consider this V6 will be around for 2 years if the standard model is anything to go by with lots of point updates which are usually quite generous.
So yeah the upgrade cost might seem a bit harsh but you are buying into the next 2 years of development enjoy.

It wasn't £129 on the site at first release it was £154 that's the reason i used audiodeluxe. That price has been changed. I had the store open to upgrade while the promo release was playing on YouTube. If it had a price of £129 on the Presonus store as it was released i would of never kicked off about the price in the first place because it's always been around £129. Luckily i had a bunch of deluxe bucks to drop the price down otherwise i wouldn't of even known they changed the price to £129 till you posted it here.

Unfortunately, I don't need any of the new features (apart from EQ3) and the features I would have liked have not been added. In addition, I now have a strange behavior with the plugins, which I do not understand. What does it mean that some plugin slots say "reserved"? There were no plugins in those slots before ...

StudioOne.png

And I already found a bug in the EQ:
1. When I press the "solo mode" button and then press it again, the track is much louder than before (I have gain - auto activated)
2. When I press the "dynamic mode" button, those extra knobs appear, but don't disappear when I click it again.

The update price of the previous versions was always 150 euro for me, as is this one (I checked my invoices). Obviously there will always be discounts at some point.

Sorry to see so many negative responses, a bit surprised about that. It's been over 2 years since V5, so most likely this update includes updates for the next 2 years.

Love the small workflow improvements and as far as I know a lot of people asked a for better video track.

Looks those are reserved for plugin parameters that have not yet been assigned. Most likely a single click on the delay plugin will close the list.

Ah ok! Thanks!
I thought those are slots, but it just belongs to the delay plugin.

Things I was hoping to find in the new upgrade, which would certainly not have been a great effort to program.

1 I want Studio One to remember the last active plugin tab in the channel editor. Every time I save and reopen a song, I have to re-activate the EQ tab on each track, which is the tab I need the most. It would save so many clicks if this tab was still selected after reloading the song.

2. When editing MIDI, I already deleted a note about 100 times when trying to copy it. Because, like I'm used to from other programs, I first press the Ctrl key and then move the note to copy it. On Studio One, however, the Ctrl key turns the cursor into an eraser and the note is erased. Unfortunately, I forget this special behavior every time, and I wish I could decide for myself what happens.

3. Unfortunately, it is still not possible to operate the EQ efficiently with the mouse. Combinations between Ctrl, Alt key and mouse wheel have no additional functions.

Hey Lukas, do you know if we can see a whole change log at any point? List of bug fixes, performance improvements, etc?

the first plug-in. Additional plug-ins may be added via drag&drop as well.
● Lyrics Editor cannot display Asian characters correctly. Please use the Lyrics Events for
editing instead.
● Non-Latin characters used in Event or Track names may cause display errors when the
song is shared via the new collaboration feature. Make sure to use Latin characters
instead.
● Studio One 6 no longer supports ReWire. Development and support was ended by
Reason Studios in 2020, and while ReWire may still be usable in Studio One 5 and earlier,
we cannot guarantee that it will work as expected since the technology is no longer
updated

I do not know what this means! (and others have commented too) Everything I've tried that seems to be related to this has worked as expected.

You can drag it onto the audio event (while holding Alt/Option) but not into the Event FX slots in the inspector.

To me it looks as if the price of S1 in USD. So if you're not in the US, you'll pay a lot more than you used to for your upgrade, because the USD has gone up against most other currencies.
