ianaeillo wroteToday is the day my OS is too old to run Studio One. I imagine there’s no way they’re supporting 10.13 but I just can’t move on quite yet. The computer can take it but some of the programs? The programs can’t. Not supporting 10.13? Why no way? OS V11 is not a minimum requirement.

Ironically, after Fender's CEO praised the joys of one-page manuals, V6 has liberally sprinkled beginner tips all over the program! Okay, then.
Regarding V6's trick of showing or hiding icons depending on what you're trying to accomplish, sounds good in theory, but you know that one button you wanted them to keep will be missing. I'm not being sarcastic in saying the lyric and video tracks are improvements I'd actually use. Vocoder looks like an amusing tool -- love the interface. No new colors after so many requests is a letdown. In my simple mind, Gregor = Presonus' belated but welcome commitment to MIDI and External Instruments, so I find his roomful of synths and controllers reassuring. Would I pay $149 to upgrade from V5 Pro to V6 Pro? Unlikely. I'd wait for the early adopters to help shake it out and for a Black Friday or equivalent sale. |

I'm a sphere member, but I'm trying to find out what my upgrade from ver 5 to 6 purchase price will be, how can I access my normal Presonus account. The site keeps logging me into my Sphere account. I own version 5, and just want to know where I see my upgrade price to ver 6. I see the post above indicating the upgrade price from v5 to v6 is $149. , but I can't access my normal Presonus Account, the site keeps taking me to my Sphere account. Which doesn't have the upgrade option purchase. Any feedback on this would be helpful. Thanks. |

I wish they had gone further in the Cubase direction, but the Console updates are cool to see. Not much of the other additions are worth anything to me. I was hoping v6 would make me abandon the Cubase cross grade, but probably not.
I was also hoping they brought back the old way Scenes worked in another form. Maybe they'll make additional upgrades to the Console before the 50% upgrade sale, but I'm tired of looking for the best DAW for me. I've got a few days of Cubase demo time left to hopefully make a final decision on a DAW. |
