So to say this as briefly as possible, I'm in a band
and me and my buddy who are the guitarists both use Kemper patch changes via Studio one. We have studio one on both my studio PC and our laptop that runs our live rig. I build our sets on my studio PC, then export the project onto a flash drive, import onto laptop, and ALWAYS have issues. Because of this I am trying to just export everything about our live session project as backup files such as stems, tempo map, and our MIDI changes for our kempers. I use automation two different ways for the kemper patch changes. One method I use is open the automation lanes and adjust different parameters such as Program Changes. Another way I do it is to open the MIDI piano roll on the track, add Program Change to the section where you adjust velocity and such, and make the patch changes that way. No matter what I do, I can NOT find a way to export the kemper patch changes. I've seen a couple people on different forums say studio one is the only daw that can't export Program Change data. I'm coming here as a last resort that this isn't true. If anyone knows a way to do this please let me know! |
Welcome to the Forum!
Not sure why but no exporting of program changes. They work fine inside S1, they can be set up easier now with sound variations. So instead of exporting try opening the song on the other computer. You would need to bring the folder your song is in. Every song has its own folder right? So an older free editor like Anvil could add your program changes. Possible to take your midi into an editor like that and just insert the pc's wherever you need them, if you had to have the midi. That would be kind of cool, having your presets change on you while you're playing. Good to put your specs in your signature, click below in my signature.
