Hello everyone,
Please help me out before I go crazy... I have a series of audio tracks belonging to a group and I'm able to easily hide them all. I click on the group's name on the Group list, the tracks get selected on the Track list below and I can then right-click one of them and choose 'Hide'. I can't find any way to do the opposite process - unhide all the selected tracks in the Track list AT ONCE - not by single-clicking. - The right-click menu doesn't have an option to unhide the selected tracks - All mouse + key combinations that I tried on the visibility dots on the Track List don't unhide the selected tracks. Using OPTION+Click on any visibility dot unhides ALL the tracks, but I only want to unhide the SELECTED tracks. Doesn't anyone know how to do this? It's driving me nuts... Thanks, Miguel Barrosa |
You could bind some key commands to keys if something here would work for you:
Hide selected and show selected might be what you want. Just search for show to see how to unhide.

Tacman7 wroteYou could bind some key commands to keys if something here would work for you: Thanks Tacman7. However, looking at this list I find the same problem - there’s a “Hide Selected Tracks” function but not an “Unhide Selected Tracks”. I find it puzzling, it really seems an oversight to me. |
SwitchBack wroteOr add the tracks to a folder too/instead. Folders are the best to quickly hide/unhide multiple tracks. Thanks SwitchBack, but folders don’t really fit my workflow. My use case is (and you can actually see this in the screenshots) I always record a dry DI guitar sound to a track at the same time as a processed signal in case I want to re-amp later. I find it logical to have the corresponding DI tracks right next to the processed tracks, something like Gtr 1 and next track is Gtr 1 DI, Gtr 2/Gtr 2 DI, etc. So the folder solution would have me place the DI tracks in a separate location from the corresponding processed tracks which doesn’t make much sense to me. |
It's not unhide, it's show.
Show selected tracks etc.

Tacman7 wroteIt's not unhide, it's show. Hey Tacman7, yup this exists "Show Selected Tracks" is assignable to key command. Thanks for the tip! I would still prefer that the right-click menu had an option for this function, or better yet, some kind of Keyboard+Mouse click on the track list to show or hide the tracks but this actually this solves 90% for me. |
OneFingerSnap wroteTacman7 wroteIt's not unhide, it's show. Actually, I spoke too soon. In reality, if you use Show Selected Tracks, it hides all other tracks that are not selected... Jesus, this doesn't make any sense. Show Selected Tracks, as the name implies, should actually just show the tracks you've selected - it shouldn't hide anything. That should be a function called something like "Show only Selected Tracks"... |
