Hi there,

I am a newbee to Studio One and to recording & mixing etc in general. I have spent hours watching videos, which have been very helpful (thanks Joe and Gregor)! The software is very impressive.

I have only one question for which I have not been able to find an answer - I set up an instrument track and used the Fender Rhoads (suitcase full vintage) keyboard. My track runs for about 1 minute. There a portion of the track (about 15 seconds worth) that I want to raise the volume / loudness of the notes without effecting the volume of all the other notes on the track. Is this possible without converting the instrument track to an audio track? If yes, how do I do it?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

I don't know that it makes a difference but I am using the windows version of the software and I am on the latest version of the software.

Right click the track, check show/hide automation.

In the popup, expand Audio and select volume. Click the arrow to add volume.

You now have an automation line for volume that you can add points to for volume adjustment.

Welcome to the Forum!

Like Bob says you can use the volume envelope,

https://s1manual.presonus.com/#Automati ... _Types.htm?

You can also adjust the midi note properties of the instrument track in part automation.

It can be handy to adjust the velocity of notes to tone them down or make them stand out. It does depend on how the instrument reacts but generally it works well.
