Hi have a question in regards to plugin formats.
I have both a Windows PC and have recently bought a MacBook and plan to produce music across both. I know that AU plugins aren't compatible with Windows so I only want to be using the VST and VST3 type plugins so I don't want the AU plugins showing in Studio One. As far I know I have the VST plugins in folder path Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST I have the VST3 plugins in folder path Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3 These are the only two folder paths I have Studio One set to scan for. The AU plugins are in folder path Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components which I'm not telling Studio One to scan for but they are showing up in my browser in Studio One. Can anyone advise please? Thanks. |
Open your browser and click on the effects tab. Look top right where the wrench symbol is. See attached image. Note there are under my Cherry Audio effects 3 types of plugins for each effect. The little white dot to the left determines which are seen or not. Uncheck the white the dot next to the AU plugins for example you don't want to see. Click the wrench again and only the white dot plugins will be visible now.

See the attached screenshot, from the plugin manager you can quickly filter by plugin type and hide them.
