Afternoon friends,

Is there any way to 'lock' the zoom level on MIDI notes within the Editor window?

I know a lot of useful zoom commands (zoom to loop is my personal favorite), but to be honest I'd rather my note editor stop zooming entirely once I get the timeline zeroed-in.

Thanks!

In the editor is a button that connects what you do in the arranger with the editor.

Maybe turn that off. Last button on the right.

Yes I have 'sync editor to arrangement' turned off in the Editor window, which just makes it not follow the arrange.

It still somehow keeps moving the view around when I change tracks, almost surely because there is a 'per track' zoom level for each individual track.

I'd like to be able to stop this from happening if possible and just keep my zoom level to what I set 'which I accomplish with 'zoom to loop', but I am using it hundreds of times every day.

Thanks!

It would be nice to simply not have to re adjust the zoom level at times.

Not only does it solve that, but like the OP mentioned, SO seems to keep seperate zoom levels per track. I can image scenarios were this is useful, but for my workflow not so much.

Fingers crossed ;)

Exactly. I can imagine wanting zoom lock, only to shut it off five minutes later, because the edited tracks were all nicely zoomed per their respective levels. Ahhhhhh!

Still, there are times when zoom lock is also very efficient so the option should be there.
