Hi all: In order to select a looonnggg horizontal set of notes in the MIDI piano roll window one has to use the mouse to drag a rectangle around all of the desired notes. If I have lots of short notes (1/16 or 1/32, etc.) it makes it difficult to "carefully" start at the first selected note (without selecting the adjacent unwanted notes) and then drrrraaaagggggg all the way to the end while the screen scrolls across all by itself. If I try to do that while zoomed out I will always end up selecting notes that I didn't want to select so I have to do that while zoomed in at the start of the selection process. That is rather cumbersome.
So, is there a way or trick that I am not aware of that would allow me to click on a specific note (while zoomed in) and then press some combination of keys in order to select ALL notes automatically that occur either before or after that note? I encounter this problem every day and really wish it were possible to do something like that. |
Yes: Shift+Alt+End and Shift+Alt+Home.
