Hi all, I'm struggling to understand why this isn't a feature, but correct me if I'm wrong:
Afaik, you can't use the paint tool to create or edit multiple CC data curves at once, and instead have to draw it on one track then copy+paste it onto another. Anyone know of a workaround, macro, or alternative solution for this? Cheers |
Try grouping the tracks, I remember that works with editing.
Good to get your specs in your signature, click below in my signature. OS, cpu, etc.

Tacman7 wroteTry grouping the tracks, I remember that works with editing. Done. Tried grouping the tracks in arrange view, edits still only apply to the focus track in the editor (with all events selected in arrange). Can't even find a way to copy+paste in place more than one CC lane at a time in the Editor, either. I am doing anything I can to get away from drawing in CC Part Automation, highlighting, copying, changing tracks in the editor, clicking focus in the Part automation window on the new track, and copying in place. It's too many steps and I've noticed how much time it eats up every time I want to change my dynamics on various instruments. I'm even down to try a macro or something, anything at this point. Cheers |
There was an article yesterday about groups:
https://blog.presonus.com/2022/05/13/be ... g-groupie/ I used to record my guitar stereo wet and mono dry at the same time and treat it like one track with the grouping but I wasn't doing cc's. Macro might be the way to go.

Yeah, I think so.
Here's the thing... these forums are certainly helpful (albeit a rare case when individuals as experienced as yourself are chiming in with ideas), but I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to do increasingly advanced things with S1, and the only kinds of people who can really 'teach' me anymore are other power users... I'm very active in the V.I. Control community as well, and there's loads of experts over there but the knowledge is mainly about working with sample libraries, orchestration, and naturally virtual instruments. I need something similar to that, but with Studio One specifically... are you aware of any Discords where power-users/industry people hang out and chat/help each other (PM me, if you want)? Someone who could help me make this multi-edit macro, for instance? Thanks for the help. |
