I have the note editor open on an instrument track, showing midi notes, velocities etc. I then select another track (audio or instrument) and the note editor in the original track disappears. It is replaced by whatever is in the second selected track - e.g. a wav form if there is one - this is normally of no interest to me at that moment and I think this is a new behaviour in 5.5.

I can get the note editor back in the original track by selecting that track.

Can anyone verify this please?

I can get the note editor back in the original track by selecting that track.

There is no note editor in the track. There is only one note editor and its view changes depending on the events and tracks selected in the arrangement.

In this image above I have Track 3 selected and the note editor relating to that track is showing below the tracks.

Here, I have selected Track 2, so that I can make some adjustments to that track, but the note editor linked to track 3 has disappeared. Of course, I can get it back by selecting Track 2 again.

Before I moved to V 5.5, I could swear that the note editor relating to Track 3 would have remained visible, even if I selected a different track.

Is it just me?

The editor always shows the selected track. When you select an audio track, the audio editor is displayed below. This has never been different.

I just re-checked with 5.4. The behavior is indeed the same.

Haha, no worries... sometimes it feels like certain behavior have changes when you somehow change options and don't use the respective feature for a while.

But in this case, the behavior is indeed the same as in previous versions...

@patricemazmanian: This won't prevent the audio editor from showing up when you select an audio track.
