NOTE: SUBJECT TITLE CHANGED TO REFLECT CONDITION IS OCCURING IN BOTH SONG, AND PROJECT PAGE.
Here's a 5.5 Projects error occurance I'm routinely seeing that needs correction. I proofed it out again this morning,so a heads up to anyone using the Project Page, be aware. Problem: On Projects Page. When opening a pre existing Pro EQ Preset, the EQ curve is not drawn. The white line curve remains flat, until nudged. The same issue does not occur when in the Songs Page. Occurence: In song mode, I added the Pro EQ, and created from default preset, some frequency adjustments. I stored my Preset in the default location, Studio One/Presets/Presonus/Pro EQ/songname.preset. All good, business as usual. I liked that Preset and wanted to use its curve in my Project, so I went to the Project page, and to the stored Pro EQ preset, and proceeded to load that Preset (import will also load the Preset). What occurred was the Preset loaded fine, however only the nodes were displayed of the Q, Gain, and Frequency location. The white line curve remains flat at 0 dB. If I adjust any node, even [Control + Z] back, the curve will update to that single band only. I have to nudge each of the bands nodes to get back what should have been initially pre drawn upon opening the Preset. Looks to be a simple redraw of the EQ curve. This morning I thought, let me try another song and see what will happen when I recall that very same Pro EQ Preset. It worked fine!. So I then opened my projects page again, and tried to recall the Pro EQ preset in another song. Should work right? Nope. Same inability to draw the curve.. Nodes are there but no curve drawn. It stays flat at zero. Please address. TY.

I have noticed, going through my presets, that some enabled bands (solid dots) do not display their curves anymore, although the presets were saved with the Curves button enabled and the white averaging line stays flat.
Toggling the Curves button on and off restores the curves but weirdly enough the displayed curves and the averaging white line have nothing to do with the bands settings originally loaded. It seems to be more than a redraw problem. It happens when selecting presets via the drop-down menu or by browsing through presets using the menu left and right arrows. This problem is intermittent but very easily repeatable for me. Tested in the song page. |

Ok. Will keep the the thread visible for further somewhat similar issues. Thx for noting. If you would, please post your system specs

patrickviens wrote: "It seems to be more than a redraw problem." Agreed. I checked what you were seeing and the EQ curve is all over the place (white line). Some draw at 100%, 80%, 20%, 0%. Etc. This also on the Song Page, so I will adjust the title of the post. I thought it was more subtle, but it's on so many pre existing presets. Needs fixing, thats for sure. TY.

I've added a signature and my specs and made screen shots showing the issue that clearly show that Pro-EQ seems to corrupt the presets :
The Master One preset (from Presonus Exchange) before and after having toggled the Curves button on and off. The first image shows a totally different curve and band settings, and the 2nd image shows what the Master One preset actually is. Needs reporting and fixing, yes Pat. |
Yes, it's highly inconsistent. I'll link this to the Studio One 5.5 Official discussion thread for best visibility.
It's currently a real pain adjusting, and if it doesn't! redraw, the curve also does not properly sound! Hoping a 5.5.1 comes out immediately.

Yup, there should be an emergency summit to get a fix out fast. This is not something that can wait on the shelf.
