Option to Snap Event End to grid !! I'm really excited about this heheh

[macOS High Sierra] Graphics Hardware Acceleration cannot be enabled - S1 has been graphically sluggish for me for certain plugins. Hopefully this will fix it?

I see many of my wishes become true in this release (project automation + listen bus, support for cc121 and much more)
I suppose it is the time to move completely from Cubase to Studio One.

With 5.0 and 5.5 it's like they looked at my personal needs/wants and were careful not to do any of them! I don't need the show page and I don't use the project page. I'm happy for those of you that do but I'll be staying on 4.5 for now.

As seen in this video, Gregor double clicks to make a midi note, then holds Option (Alt on Windows), and drags up to create a chord.

This does not seem to be working. When holding Alt and dragging, it just copies the note. I have Scale enabled. As you can see in the Youtube comments, it's not working for anyone else either.

What are we missing?

***EDIT - - i figured it out - you have to double click to make a note, but keep your mouse held down, then hold ALT and drag up

Wow the entire 5.0 - 5.5 release cycle amounted to a grand total of 0 new useful features and improvements for me (with lots of new crashes and bugs). I will definitely not upgrading for awhile now.

Anyone noticed the output is clipping @ 0 dB (Master & Listen Bus @ 0 dB). Didn't do that before update - I have to pull down the master -0.1 to be save?!?

Sad to see that they didn't fix the bug where Project mode resets plugin state between tracks at export time. So they give us a default track pause of 0, but if you use it, you're gonna hear pops between tracks if you have any plugins with non-linear characteristics, like compressors, or time-dependent characteristics, like modulation.

Personally not excited about this update, was hoping for something more, at least for my needs (still waiting for Inspector and Browser updates).
However, I am sure that a lot of people will be happy with these new features being added to the Project Page.

Can anyone confirm they disconnected track visibility in the Arranger from the Scenes in the Console. I believe it was a confirmed bug back in 5.0/5.1. Serious workflow killer for me.

What would actually be more relevant is how many popular feature requests have been ticked off in the feature requests areas of the forum. Now that's stats I would like to know.

I ran into this with the previous release.

To debug it, I created a project with one track with audio that peaked at 0 db. All faders at zero, no plugins.

When I exported that single track, I'd get the "output has clipped" error, and the output would typically be .1 - .2 db higher, though I have seen up to .5 db higher. Same error if I export in real time or not.

I was just about to submit a ticket (already created a video) when I caught wind of the new release. I'll recheck on this release, and will submit if it still is an issue that I can recreate.

This isn't happening on mine. Just had audio peaking at 0db and exported with no error

The stuck Midi notes is still there.
If you leave an event with a midi note still selected, then when you return you can't move it or deselect it. You have to ctrl+x and ctrl-z on this event and you can edit again. But it is really annoying as I spend 90% of my time in Studio One editing Midi. And I hardly ever do anything related to the updates.

Could you record a video of this? Have you submitted a ticket? I am also constantly using midi and this has never happened to me. I even just tried what you said and everything is normal. Have you tried reinstalling?

EDIT*** After trying what you said to do over and over, I got it to happen! Midi note is selected but can't move it.

I've never experienced this during actual work, but yeah def see what you are talking about

As reported elsewhere, midi draw doesn't work for me.

If I hit alt after the note is already down, it instead attempts to copy the note and then I can move it around. Not sure if that's intended.

What I'm totally sure about is that midi chord draw simply draws the note in the scale, instead of in a chord. See attached video.

You have to double click to add the midi note and keep your mouse held down, THEN hold alt and drag up.

But yes, the whole "chord" thing is extremely misleading, it just draws all the notes of the scale on top of each other. "Major Triad" and "Minor Triads" do work as chords though.

Got strum working. A tad awkward.
