I speculate that since the last update my rendering time has increased incredibly. I can put a simple gain plugin across 20 empty tracks and what used to take maybe 3 minutes now averages over an hour.

What's your hard drive space looking like, Frank,
Just an observation. 70%-80% full on your C drive will start to impact such things. Also, just run task manager to ensure no shenanigans are in the background. Remove those suspect to useless activity. FWIW, turn off any instruments not needed in your song. You can tell from the left instrument panel in the mixer section. You will have to verify that they're not playing on a track, but it can suck horsepower. If they're not in use, turn them off, render and delete them. Maybe lastly, check your CPU status. Locate the plugins or instruments that draw CPU recources. The new plugin manager is also a nifty way to see what might be impacting things. Old plugins that need updating might be a culprit.

Thanks so much
I was kind of wondering if my template was a factor. Perhaps it’s guilty of some of the things you described. My hard drive is about 60% free as I farm out most items to my external drives I have noticed that my available RAM gets taxed way quicker than before. Frank

frank.crow wroteThanks so much What you may want to try if you think it's your template is: * Try taking the very same song you're working under. Rename it with perhaps ......_Test.song so that "_test" is the suffix. Then, save it with the same name_test under Songs/Save to new Folder. That way, you won't cross it with your original version, or at the startup songs list. Saving Song to new folder (not "Save As" to a new folder) will clean the song of any unused audio files in that new folder. Don't worry, they're still in your original song folder without the test suffix. Try rendering that. Also, it's a little unclear when you describe twenty tracks with a gain plugin at 3 minutes then turning into an hour. Could you provide a screenshot just before you render to show us what it is you're doing? Thanks! By and large, render is often an abused term, and it would be just really clear to know what it is you're doing. Exporting a mixdown? Stemming? Trying to render per track by highlighting numerous tracks? So it would just be good info I think. The one hour time you're stating could be certainly trimmed, and perhaps with a better starting workflow. I hope you're template is brought into a new song first by first naming a song, designate it in the "New Song" field , and not some default Un named Studio One location. I suspect it's not, but I have to ask. Try to in a breif paragraph with screenshot give the steps and description. You did already, but there could be more we dont see. Let's fix that back to three minutes!

I reinstalled Studio One and it seems to have fixed a few issues.
I don’t know how to change the heading to solved. Very Respectfully Frank Crow

Do I just click the title? How do I access it to edit it?

Hi Frank,
Go to your first post at the top. Click on the pencil icon to edit it..When that post opens, go to the top "Subject" line (that's editable as well). Leave what's there, but to the right of the subject line is where you can now type [Solved] Then Submit the post.. That's it buddy.

There was a bug in one of the previous versions of S1 (5.1?) where if you were sending midi clock out to a hardware unit, your render would start at 10x realtime, and gradually drop to 0.5 realtime, and become nearly infinite.
