If I start a project in pro, will somebody be able to open and work on it in artist?
If they start a project in artist, will I be able to open, work on in, save it and send it back so that they can reopen it in artst? Many thanks! |
Projects no. Songs yes, as long as you're very careful not to use components that are only available in Pro. Here's a comparison list for the various versions of S1.
Also note that you can open a song from an older version of S1 in a newer version of S1 but not the other way around. |

Do you know what happens if I had a pro plugin on a track, and somebody with artist opened it? I hope just a warning and a greyed out plugin or something? Or will the song just not load? |
SwitchBack wroteIf versions match then a missing plug-in should only result in a warning stating that. More structural things like multi-instruments may give more problems. Maybe someone working between Artist and Pro can chime in with the details Thanks! |
