Im moving everything over to an iMac here from my older MacPro.

Im always used 44.1 kHz here. My plan is to eventually do stuff for YouTube etc.

Any need to use 48 kHz for YouTube or any video hosting site or should I continue with 44.1?

I see many using 48 for YouTube is why Im asking. These Songs will be posted for streaming sites as well as MP3 downloading. Eventually I will do just normal videos as well.

*** This is NOT a discussion about the sound quality and anti aliasing filters blah blah blah. I dont care.

Just curious which you guys are using between THESE

Thanks

My TC Electronics firewire interface ran native @48k, same with my Korg synths.

I took a performance hit when I tried to run 44.1.

I lost a lot of performance trying to run high sample rates, not my cup of tea.

I used to switch between the two depending upon whether I thought it might ever get put to picture. Now I just use 48K for everything. It works well with my setup and I can't hear the difference and, most important of all, I don't need to make a decision each time I start a song!
