getting the audio file to switch to notes that are already added in the chord track

Hi. I got an audio wave file which has the chords from the chord track printed on it.
The chords are written per measure at the bottom of the audio track; but none of the notes changed. The track won't move from it's original state. :(

How do I get the notes (music) to change?

Extract those chords to the chord track, then activate one of the options in the follow chords drop down menu in the track inspector.
