Hey guys,

I'm new to Studio one. In fact i'm pretty new to music production so hoping to make life as easy as possible for myself.

I currently have the latest version of studio one 5 (artist). I'm looking for a mini midi keyboard as i dont have much space. I mainly want to use it for drum pads and synths/keys/bass etc... I've been looking at the Akai MPK mini MK3 however lots of people have said they have had issues with it on the latest Studio One 5 software. I've also been looking at the Novation launchkey mini MK3 but understand that is designed for ableton and also doesnt work great on the latest Studio One 5.

I'm now worried that anything i buy wont configure with studio one 5. I would love any help or recommendations of any mini 2 octave MIDI keyboards that you know will definitely work on the latest version of studio one 5. It needs to have a mix of drum pads and keys and not cost the earth.

Thanks for any help

Launchkey Mini should work fine with Studio One. If you check software compatibility on their website it mentions Studio One. I am sure all the essential functions will work. Yes there may be some deeper integration with Ableton. You may have to map a few things to Studio One functions.
