after digging a while online, I found this place with a little info, that made me optimistic that it is possible to use my Allen Heath Zed R16 Midi Controls completely. But even with the code snippets explaining how to create controls for the buttons sending note events, I have some obstacles where I find no information:

- how do I add a new manufacturer section in the device-list?
- how do I add a new device in the manufacturer folder?
- is there a way to force S1 to re-parse that folders to check for new XML (without restarting S1)?
- is there something like a reference for the XML syntax used and the available options?
