Is there a way to select "All Inputs" as the default choice for tracks that have MIDI inputs?
Thanks!

I have a default song which opens up every time Studio One boots up. It contains one Instrument track. I have this set for All Inputs. Studio One remembers this. So the Input source for Instrument tracks is as per how you have saved your default track.

If I set this to say one of my controllers instead (and re-save the default of course) then this is how it boots up next time.

When you create a new Instrument track the setting for the Input source is usually the default as well. Which in my case is also All Inputs. You do have the option right at this point to change that before a new Instrument track is also created in that window.

Under external devices, check that "use this as my primary device" (or something along that line) is unchecked on all devices.

The manual states that if you have only one keyboard connected you should check the box that says Use as default Instrument input. I guess that means if you have more than one input source then you should not check this box.

The only way I could get my default Instrument input to be what I wanted was to select the input you want and re-save the default song.

I wish it was possible to have "all midi ins" as default, very annoying to always switch inputs on new instrument tracks

My sessions are always like this, I didn't do anything special. I have two keyboards and when I select any of the instruments I can play with both without changing a setting.

Isn't this the default behavior already?

In "options - external devices" just make sure nothing is set as the default input. The "in" column has a tick if a default input is set.
If there is no default input then any new instrument track defaults to "All Inputs". If there is a default input then new instrument tracks are set to that. I don't think you have to re-save a default song or anything.
