The alimony payments I make are subscription based. As long as I keep paying them, I stay out of the pokey. Maybe this has tainted me on the subscription model! ;)

Good thought. Just remember, while your head is in the clouds ;) while you pay your alimony, you don't get custody of the kids. Just some nice family picnics, and excursions to the beach. Happy memories!

@ shanabit: Far be it, this this post wasn't about as mentioned. Though I'm sure with name calling, you'd love to gracefully decline.

This is such a great example😂

With Slate my kids never grow up
With Plugin Alliance if I make all my Alimony payments then once every year I get custody of a child until they all eventually live with me
With Sphere I’m paying alimony for kids that don’t look like me and I’m wondering if my wife cheated on me.

Lol. Love it. Touche' my friend.
Be well!

My point to yours truly is we are in fact getting something by not subscribing as well which is continued improvements, and the streamed news is NOT only for subscribers only. Such misinformation prompts others to use terms like "second class citizens" and causes a lot of unnecessary drama. Such threads will do that.
Peace, Love, make music, out.

No drama here - but if you give people who have only paid a few monthly subscriptions "exclusive content" denied to those who have bought the software upfront and paid for updates over many years .....

Please note that I may express opinions that are different from yours but I do not intend to cause offence.

graytermedia wrote I don't see the need to rant about it though. Let Presonus know directly. Venting here seems to be a waste of time and belittles those who do find value in Sphere. If you don't like subs, good for you. Get on with it and keep it moving.

tg

You must think Presonus cares? You must be altruistic there.

If you don't like my venting here see yourself to the door, simple as that. Keep it moving as you say :+1

No one is trashing on any Sphere members. Your interpolation is conflated there.

Not altruistic at all. I'm just a business man and I use the tools that I need to get the job done. Tools that I can invoice for and that pay for themselves in the long run, or the ones that I can write off at the end of the year. Subscriptions are wonderful tax write offs.

Don't hate the player. hate the game.

Seems to be a lot of bluster for something that is a choice. You’re not required to buy into Sphere. I’ve been an Avid user for 20+ years. Now WE have something to bitch about. So far, PreSonus users have very little to complain about by comparison.

This is so true.

Subject A, young Ben "Snorty" Jizzmann decides he wants to be famous instead of anonymous. He joins Presonus Sphere for 3 months before he realizes he needs not only talent, but also some ambition to succeed in music. So he quits paying, but for those 3 mths he is treated like royalty.

Subject B, *Herbie Handclock, a famous jazz musician, buys Studio One outright for many years. Does not get any of the perks that Snorty Jizzmann got.

Sorry Herbie, but Snorty's the better type of customer. Thanks for playing.

*Note, Herbie Handclock does not use Studio One due to the raging Sphere controversy. Nor should he be confused with Herbie Hancock, who, rumor has it, subscribes to Sphere. :D

Okay, I'm lying. But the allegory fits the context.

lol... i hate that line... reminds me of "fake it 'til you make it" in which the latter just makes one a liar and a fake which is never good in the long run.

as for the 'game'... that saying is solely an attempt of justification by the worthless imo. fact is... one has to hate the game to remove it from existence (that is if enough people hate it) ... that will then eradicate the players and all the trash that comes along with it. as long as one 'plays the game' it fuels it's self perpetuating nature. this AIN'T rocket science lol

p.s this has nothing to do with sphere or any subscriptions... was just pointing out a bit of stinkin' thinkin'

LOL. I grew up hearing my grandfather, father and friends say it all of the time. It's common on my side of the tracks. Not so much with the kids these days, but alas, I'm not a kid and old habits die hard. LOL

But, like you, I digress from the topic at hand.

I had a ‘conflated interpolation’ but with the right med’s and a surgical truss I can keep it under control…!!

Windows 10 Pro/i7 6800k @3.4Ghz/16Gb ram. Studio One 6 Pro, Melodyne Editor, Vocalign Project 5, Superior Drummer 3, Izotope Music Production Suite 6, Komplete 13 and various other plugins. Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Faderport, Focal Alpha 50's, Korg Pa3x, Korg Pad Kontrol, numerous guitars, basses & other antiquated outboard gear.
Maybe one day I'll actually finish a project!
