After setting up a few MIDI chords with any built-in S1-5 instrument I add a Note FX arpeggiator. When I play the inserted chords sometimes there is no sound when the arpeggiator should start, right at the beginning of the first chord. Instead, after some silence it will begin arpeggiating some time during the second or third chord. What could be causing this?

I'm not having that issue but if you'd like, attach an example song with the issue and I'll test and confirm for you on my computer.

Are you using Pattern or Chord mode in the Arpeggiator? NoteFX has no re-trigger options/capability so depending on how you set it up and where you press play in the song, it has a chance of "missing" the first note.

Thanks for your offer Trucky. Also, I didn't really know about the chord vs pattern mode Robertgray2. I'll experiment with those modes and if I still can't solve my problem I'll come back here.

I am having this same issue. Its not a retrigger/ middle of a note issue. Sometimes tracks with arp do not start playing at all when they should. I'm not able to trigger them with Atom sq while this is happening. As soon as I hit stop on the transport, the notes I hit on atom become audible again.
Oddly, notes I hit with the software keyboard on the instrument itself are audible, but they are not affected by the art. |
