literally every time I've ever tried to use this I get the attached error.
Can somebody help me with this? I've been having it for years.
I am not one to name my projects beforehand because 90% of the time I open my DAW I don't have a plan, I just jam

Its not a bad idea to search the forum for the same topic. Chances are it has been well covered. You can rename projects, there is just a method to doing it.

I find it fairly common, my workaround is to close the song, reopen it, and immediately try to rename it.
Project engineer by day, sound connoisseur by night.
