Just downloaded and tested my issues. Completely fixes my big problems with full screen window issues on OSX, rendering problems, and plugins losing sidechain sends when copying to another track. It's a really great release for me.

I'm seeing that if you mute an Instrument track from its channel OR from it's Inspector, the Mute button for that track header does not light up. And vice-versa. Meaning if you click the Mute button in the instrument track's header, the corresponding Mute button won't light up in the Inspector or the Mixer channel.

Is anyone else seeing this? The muting actually happens in all cases, but it makes it really hard to understand what you're seeing in the Arranger, because you might have some channels muted but the Arranger won't show those same muted tracks as actually appearing muted.

This doesn't happen with Audio tracks. Only with Instrument tracks.

Thanks! Stefan's test no longer produces a rhythmic pattern, so the sidechain PDC issue seems fixed :)

I reported this after a previous update but It is an intended behavior. The inspector mirrors the console, not the track, as you can have more than one instrument track assigned to a single channel in the console.

Funny how we notice these things after an update. i did the same. :D

I just had to respond to this. I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue, but that does not make you (or "us": the Studio One community) beta testers.

First of all, from your post or YouTube video I can not determine if this is a UAD issue, an issue with your particular setup, or an issue with Studio One. A post like this really does not produce anything positive or constructive in order to get this problem solved.

If this really is a Studio One issue, I am sure more users will experience this and someone (you?) should report it as a bug to Prosonus. This particular forum thread is definitely not the way to do that.

Looking at the list of fixes in this update I think its safe to say that Presonus once again shows that they are listening to their customers, even if it might take a little time to put out those fixes - and honestly comparing to the competition this is still pretty damn good.

May I ask how, exactly, this is done? I've never noticed such an option. I've just looked carefully and cannot figure out how to do this in any obvious way. And it's completely counter-intuitive to me. I've never run across this ability in any other DAW, either.

Even if you create a multi-instrument, it still appears as only a single track in the arranger. Even if you create a multi-output instrument, every output channel gets its own track in the console.

What he's saying is that you can have more than one instrument track playing out to the same instrument, even if that instrument only has one output in the mixer. Muting a track doesn't mute the mixer channel. If it did, muting any track would mute everything playing from the instrument.

This "midi track + instrument rack" paradigm has confused some users since version 1.0 but (for the most part) anyone coming from Cubase had seen it before.

Bug is reported. And yes it is Studio One issue. This bug does not exist in v.5.2

First thing I would check was if my plugins was updated. Your post is just a clickhunt as of now. Not good.
I use UAD plugins intensive and haven’t seen any suchlike in Windows 10 admittedly I don’t have the Sonnox plugins but that would be a UAD issue...

Oh. Well, yes that makes sense. But only in part.

Let's look at the following scenario: I have Inst Track A and Inst Track B both sending their MIDI events to the same instrument 1. Instrument 1 is outputting to a single channel in the Console.

My user expectation would be that if I mute only Inst Track A, then both Inst Track B and the console channel would be unmuted. Same if I mute only Inst Track B.

But if I mute the console channel, I'd expect the system to show BOTH Inst Track A and Inst Track B as muted.

And if I mute BOTH Inst Track A and Inst Track B, I'd expect the system to show the Console channel as muted.

Are these unreasonable user expectations? To me, they seem quite intuitive. What am I missing?

UPDATE: Meh. I guess I can live with this? Testing just now, I can see how if you're doing some really fancy orchestration with multiple MIDI tracks weaving in and out of each other into a single instrument, you might get salty if you've selectively muted some of those instrument tracks, and then for some reason want to mute the console output of that single instrument, and now you cannot tell from the Arranger track headers which of those many MIDI tracks are muted any more.

Tomato, Tomahto. Solving a use case for one set of user expectations often breaks user expectations for other use cases.

Can confirm the same thing happens on my end.

Still not fixed since version 4 - Send bar drops in to nowhere, when opening template, and throwing in a instrument (in this case Impact).
