So, my Zoom UAC-2 works with every other audio application I have including Studio One 3 and FL Studio but it just absolutely will not talk to Studio One 5.

Am I the only one with this problem or is it something specific to the hardware itself?

No, but I expect that if I tell them that their hardware and drivers work perfectly with Studio One 3, FL Studio, my standalone VSTs, and all of my games and other apps that use audio, they're going to deduce that the problem is Studio One 5, not with the UAC-2.

I would reinstall version 5 if I had that issue. It has to be one of two things
1. The driver does not work with S1 5
2. The installation of S1 5 has an error

**The assumption is you have configured the audio device from the start page

OSX Sonoma 14.2

I've reinstalled studio one 5 multiple times, I even deleted the Presonus folder from appdata/roaming before a reinstall in order to get an extra clean reinstall.

It just won't budge.

But am I totally alone in the wilderness, is anyone with a UAC-2 have Studio One 5 working?

Do you have the Class Compliant switched on on the back or are you using a dedicated audio driver for it?
Latest firmware for it?

Latest drivers are back in Feb BTW, Im guessing if your other DAWS are working and your able to get sound with online stuff etc its S1 causing the issue here.
https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/audio-interf ... 2-support/

**When you go to Configure Audio Device from the start page you are saying it is NOT showing up there correct?

Try DELETING the S1 5 Preferences File as well

Very easily could be a conflict with the Windows version and S1 5

Class Compliant Mode is off.

I have the latest firmware.

Just to be clear, it IS showing up in the start page, just the transport doesn't move and it doesn't output or record any sound under any circumstances.

I've deleted the preferences file multiple times as well.

Nothing I can do seems to work.

But, I ask again, is it just me, or has anyone else actually managed to have gotten a ZOOM UAC-2 to work with Studio One 5?

Due to lack of responses here from other Zoom UAC-2 owners, I'd still recommend contacting Zoom technical support.
They probably have more details if this issue has been reported by other Studio One 5 customers.

Oh, that's interesting, good to know that it works, still that means it's impossible for me to figure out what could be the problem. Oh well.

If it helps, I run it at 24 bit and 88khz.

If I recall the Zoom doesn't like switching modes, so check you are running the same bit depth and sample rate as the other DAWs.

Otherwise, maybe a conflict having S1v3 and v5 together on the same PC perhaps?

Oh and I'm running Windows 10 latest release. if you're using a Mac, maybe an issue with the latest MacOS?

Thanks for confirming that it works with Studio One 5 and Windows 10 with the latest Zoom ASIO drivers.

Apparently I'm not alone in these problems,

https://answers.presonus.com/62246/zoom ... -with-s1-5

this was posted six days after and it's someone with a Zoom UAC-8 (the 8 channel version of the UAC-2) having the same exact problems as me.

So, if someone was able to make a ZOOM UAC work, then that's a good thing, it means somehow some way there's a solution but my experience and this unanswered question means there is a recurring issue among ZOOM UAC users, it's not just me.

Edit: I tried switching it to 88.2 khz and 24 bit but that didn't change anything either.

I'm running windows 10, latest update. I'm still waiting for Zoom support to respond. If other people also have had this exact problem then maybe Zoom can help.

"Hello,

Zoom products are not confirmed to be compatible with Presonus Studio One 5.

We apologize for any inconvenience."

Hmmm, oh well, maybe there'll be a driver update, I guess I'll keep trucking with Studio One 3 in the meantime until a driver update comes out or maybe I'll consider another audio interface. I bought the Zoom as a budget friendly low latency option 3 years ago but maybe I'll look at what else is out there since then.

I have a UAC-8 and it works fine with Studio One 5.4.1 The UAC-8 uses USB 3.0 so you might want to make sure its not plugged into a USB 2 port.
